The Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Saudi Arabia, a key governmental body responsible for national security, naturalisation, immigration, and customs, engaged LundHalsey for their new MOI 911 project.
This initiative aimed to enhance the efficiency and response times of emergency services by unifying them under a single emergency number, 911. Serving Police Patrol, Traffic, Road Security Special Forces, and Civil Defence, the project focused on streamlining operations through advanced technology and improved ergonomics.
Three new control centres were constructed in in Riyadh, Dammam, and Madinah, Lund Halsey were selected following a demanding and rigorous technical evaluation process. Once appointed a close working relationship was formed with the project stakeholders within the MOI to meet very specific technical & operator requirements, which were then validated with a set of pre-production consoles. These consoles were inspected in the UK by the MOI team before our advanced robotic manufacturing, expert logistics, and deep expertise working in the Kingdom, enabled us to fast-track the production of the 1600+ console positions in less than 15 weeks.
Working closely with the end-client and key stakeholders throughout the project, we provided comprehensive project management and full installation services to ensure that the project was completed efficiently.
The successful unification of these control rooms through an integrated emergency number system has significantly improved operational efficiency and response times, providing a robust framework for Saudi Arabia’s national security operations.
