NEOM Green Project | Saudi Arabia | LundHalsey Command and Control Room Case Study Logo

LundHalsey are thrilled to highlight our contribution to a landmark project in sustainable energy: located at Oxagon in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project signifies the creation of the world’s largest carbon-free green hydrogen plant and this project, which reached a financial close at a staggering investment of USD8.4 billion, marks a pivotal moment in the global transition towards cleaner energy sources.

Led by our rigorous and science-based approach to control room design, LundHalsey were entrusted to deliver a comprehensive control room design service that spanned human factors assessment to meticulous operational layout and planning, through to control room workflow design and ergonomics. This methodology demonstrated our approach to delivering mission critical environments that foster both productivity and safety, whilst ensuring the health & well-being of the CROs.

Central to our design process was the strategic use of our Virtual Reality (VR) technology. This served as the perfect platform for optimising designs efficiently, facilitating a highly collaborative and interactive environment for stakeholder input, ensuring a seamless journey through to project sign off. Using VR as an immersive experience ensured that every element of the control room could be viewed and fine-tuned to meet precise operational requirements and stakeholder expectations.

For the operational core of control facility, LundHalsey premium KONTROL PLUS command and control consoles were supplied to accommodate 25 CROs which provided a perfect combination of ergonomics, quality engineering, design detailing and durability.

Complementing the operational environment, our KONTROL MEET premium furniture range was chosen for meeting and collaboration spaces, reflecting our dedication to supporting the dynamic needs and overall aesthetics of contemporary work spaces.

LundHalsey’s engagement with the NEOM Green Hydrogen project is a testament to our leadership in pioneering control room design solutions that support critical infrastructure for sustainable energy. Our role in this ground-breaking project underscores our commitment to advancing environmental sustainability and CRO well-being through innovative, science-led design practices.
